How would I know I need a water filter?
If you are dissatisfied with the taste or odor or are uncertain of the quality, we do have in-home test kits for those on private wells to find proper equipment.
Is it hard to install a countertop water filter?
No, it takes less than five minutes to install, with no tools.
Will I be able to use my own faucet?
You may use your own gooseneck faucet provided it has 1/4'” compression threads on the stud.
What is the difference between Standard faucet and the Premium or Euro faucet?
The Standard faucet is chrome and has a white plastic tip and handle. The Premium and Euro faucets feature a smooth quarter turn handle with a ceramic sear for a lifetime of service.
The Premium and Euro faucets come in a variety of colors.
Will your filter remove harmful substances (such as lead) from the water?
Yes, for homes with high level of sediment (rust, sand ect.) we recommend our double or triple housing filters. These filters include sediment pre-filters, which are designed to remove particulate such as rust and sand.
Our filters are also designed to remove heavy metals such as lead, cadmium and aluminum from the water by an electrochemical process. Much as a magnet they are attracted to the media.
How often will I need to change my filter cartridge?
Each replacement filter cartridge has a different life span, depending on how much water is being filtered and as well as the contaminants the filter is targeting. In most cases however, changing is recommended as follows:
KDF/GAC -Approximately every 3 years
KDF/GAC Economy -Approximately every 2 years
Ceramic -Approximately every 3 years
Ster-o-Tap -Approximately every year
What is the difference between sediment filters and drinking water filters?
Sediment filters are useful for rural areas and commercial applications. They remove rust sand and other particles from the water. Drinking water filters remove odors and chlorine. They make you water smell and taste a lot better.

Are replacement cartridges always available for me to buy from you?
Yes, you can browse our catalog and see our big selection of cartridges. Should a cartridge become unavailable or discontinued, we will work with you to find a solution or an alternate replacement.
How do I know that your replacement cartridge will fit my existing filter?
The hardest part about owning any type of filter is finding replacement cartridge that fits. If your housing requires a standard size (9 ¾ ”) cartridge, then our cartridge will work for you.
If you cannot find a replacement cartridge or if you need some replacement parts for your filters, contact us at sales@crystalclearsupply.com we will be happy to assist you.
Why would I need a shower filter?
Studies have shown that you absorb more chlorine in one shower than what you typically drink in all day. Chlorine makes you skin dry and flaky. It can make your hair dry and brittle, and ruin coloring and permanents.
Who manufactures your filters?
We purchase top-quality components from respected industry-leading suppliers to assemble our water filters.
