Crystal Clear Melt Blown Polypropylene Whole House Sediment Filters – 20" full flow filter is the first filter installed in the Whole House Water Filter as a pre filter. The main purpose of a sediment filter is to remove large and fine particles from your drinking water, such as sand, dirt, silt and rust particles.
Removal of such particles allows for a better overall performance of all the following filters, such as Carbon Block or Granulated Activated Carbon filters.
Gradient Density, Multi-Layered, Melt Blown Sediment Filter Cartridge. Larger particles are trapped in the outer layers, smaller particles penetrate deeper. Greater dirt holding ability and longer life than non-layered cartridges. Thermally bonded polypropylene micro fibers for purity and chemical compatibility.
